Good morning!
Got up at 5AM to finish my outline and sort my chapters. Not many words, but I got today's work organized.

Anybody else up for a strong, black coffee? I'm sharing a round. Have a productive weekend, fellow writers!

Say, you could send a warning to your past self in the form of a dream. But you couldn't time it exactly and there is no way to tell how your brain interprets it, so you might give your past self years upon years in a randomly repeating nightmare--would you do it?

I'm out for a date with a dragon.

If anybody needs me, I'll be in chapter 63 with a quill and a huge mug of coffee.

Feeling torn about my expositions. When I was subtle, feedback was "we didn't get it". Don't like "subtle as a brick" though, because readers need to put in SOME effort to feel a sense of accomplishment when they connect the dots. Where's the sweet spot?

Met a stray on the way home. That cat knew what he was doing and led me straight to a butcher's shop.

Of course I got him dinner. Butcher seemed to know what's up and cut it extra small.

Happiest furball you ever saw.

But now I can't help but wonder:
Was he the butcher's cat?

Note to self:

Dear Erik. If you once again decide to aim for a light hearted YA coming of age with a romantic subplot, perhaps don't start with killing her mother?

The little one turns out to be a hardcore horror fan. A "long scary story" was requested tonight. About a haunted playground that was built over an abandoned train station. At midnight, the ghost train comes and all ghost kids get off to play on the swings.

Reading about local sources of the "Wild Hunt".
Led by the "Night Hunter" and his pack of hounds, they are described as a wild lot of all sorts of broken spirits, riding on goats, and chicken, and horses. They are said to have sung as they rode the most beautiful tune.
