I'm particularly interested in the relation between moss folk (aka fairies) and wild hunt.
According to legend, the wild hunt was killing moss people wherever they could. The moss folk sought the help of humans and repaid them generously.
But why was the hunt after them?

Asparagus is in season at the moment. So in medieval historic fiction, can we use it as food?

First off, at all times asparagus was grown as medicine rather than food. Especially for problems with the stomach and bladder, or as a general aphrodisiac.

When talking about food for a medieval scene, the question of what is on the table is also a question of laws.

For example, game used to be a staple on early medieval tables, until the practice was outlawed and became a privilege and sport of noblemen.

This place actually exists and this is the real thing. So don't worry giving places in your book strange names - history backs you up!
