Oh hello #artpostor, let's get rid of that imposter feeling for a day! I'm Erin-Claire, and I reimagine fairy tales and folklore, challenging gender norms and ensuring diverse representation in the stories we all love. I'm still new to digital art, but I'm learning!
I had so much fun with #mermay2021! I've had a few requests for prints (my first for digital art - how exciting!), so I'm going to do a small, once-off print run of the mermaids. Let me know by Friday which mermaid/s you'd like and the size. (Archival quality fine art prints)
Thoughtful mermaid.
How many more mermaids can I finish before the end of #mermay I wonder?!
Family! (Why is the blue one holding a plush fish? 🤷♀️ Nobody knows).
I saw this cute photo of white winged fairy wrens recently and felt compelled to do a #mermay interpretation of it!

I painted a merrow a few years back for an exhibition of dangerous creatures in Celtic folklore - she's the less-dangerous one in this picture! #MythologyMonday #mermay #merrow #mermaid https://t.co/lrVm5w5JAL
A violently pink but helpful mermaid for day 9 of #mermay!
So far I'm managing a mermaid every two or three days, which I'm happy with 🧜♀️

Today's #MerMay is thanks to a prompt from my darling sibling @Spike_o_o, who suggested a mermaid helping with ecology fieldwork. I am always getting photos of bandicoots from Spike's fieldwork, which I love, and it's only a short jump from a bandicoot to an octopus, really!
First day of #mermay! What kind of mermaids would you like to see from me this month? So far I've had requests for space mermaids and marine biologist mermaids - thanks @Spike_o_o and @clothedvillainy!
In the meantime, this is not-quite-a-mermaid, but who doesn't love selkies?!
