Love a good Fantastic Four origin story retelling, especially one that reexamines how horrifying it must've been for Johnny to burst into flames for the first time. This isn't on Claremont's level, but it IS good, and the art is very pretty.

This Negative Zone moment from Fantastic Four #35 is good. Not as nuanced as I would like under normal circumstances, but considering the way this issue is told, I'm taking it. Very sweet Ben&Johnny scene.

we don't talk about how this wasn't ultimate reed but when we thought this WAS ultimate reed, wow, was this a scene about ultimate reed impersonating 616 reed to try to convince 616 ben to kill doom.
