Kit Carson

Famous in his own lifetime as mountain man and scout, but I think if he were more famous today he might not be as celebrated. Like others, there is a mythic 'Kit Carson' and a real Kit Carson.

For a few years at Republic, he was pumping out B movies.

He is one of many Republic stars, including Gabby Hayes, in the Roy Rogers film, Bells or Rosarita (1945)

Adventure presents Wild Cowboys!

Aventura ran from 1954 to 1980, with mostly Western content.

During the silent age, he became a solid cowboy draw, along with Tom Mix and Hoot Gibson. The transition to sound was hard on Westerns (which were shot mostly outdoors), and the Depression hit, and his businesses failed.
