@dancloutier The really nice thing with Battle Through Time is that the enemy attack patterns are different on each level, so you have to sometimes adjust your strategy to meet the threat. And, if you're good enough to loop it.. Boom! 💥 The volcano erupts. 😮 Nice. 😁
@dancloutier I hadn't looked at Battle Through Time for a long while. (Maybe 20+ years since I tried it.) I'm glad I tried it again this week. It's very well done. IMHO scrolling is a little fast at times, but it plays very very well. 👍
8/10 Would battle again. 😁
@FlightDreamz It was one of those interesting finds. 🤔 I didn't seek it out, or see a good review. I just got to play it at a friends place.. a lot. 😁 I think it hooked me well. 🤔 Now I'm a little unsure on if I still like it, or it's all nostalgia. 😋
@JamesPond47 @RetroSharka Not bad for a first game then. 👍
That might explain why it's a little unorthodox in its execution. 🤔 But, like 90% games on the C64, I wish it was a little easier. 😁 Guess I should be prepared to cheat in the sequel quite quickly. 🤣
@RetroSharka Yup. And if they can do that, this late in the days of Commodore platforming, I think that's quite something.
They manage to fit a lot of content on each screen, give multiple paths through the level.. shooting, parachuting.. it's an interesting combination. 👍
