I used to think of it as a very simple game. You shoot everything, and enemy bullets move too fast to dodge. But you have to eliminate the targets with one life (you have an energy bar), which adds a real sense of urgency to the task. (you often die with the last guy in sight) 😮
For my latest adventure in joystickery, it's Mission AD on C64. It's kind of a run-and-gun platformer, where you enter a complex and hunt down several identical-looking characters that show up on your locator/scanner. Nothing complex: run through and shoot anything that moves. 😁
@a1exh @CommodoreBlog Ah. The old trousers key combo.
They knew their market. As kids we found it hilarious. 🤣
@dancloutier Have a good night .. please don't grow some extra arms and take over the world..
@FlightDreamz Virtual XP is actually amazingly easy to work, so long as you don't need hardware 3D graphics. VirtualBox is free, and it's used in server environments, so it's rock-solid. So then you just need a WinXP ISO (or disc) and a valid activation key. 👍 These pics are from VirtualBox:
@FlightDreamz At home I'm running old equipment (an ex-lease laptop, and two old desktop PC's from work.) So they're an i5 with two physical cores, and two i7's with four physical cores. Basic Intel graphics. Those PC's, and their predecessors all ran WinUAE well. So WinUAE's always with me 😁
