@MlemiumFalcon @Stretchedwiener @ultimadragons @EverydayRegan @RichardGarriott @benjedwards This is a part of what I loved about Ultima V. The safety of towns was suddenly gone. Shadowlords were really something to be feared, and for much of the game fled-from. And late in the game a certain bad guy could eliminate one of your party entirely. (That really shocked me) 😮
But apart from having to reach for the keyboard on the odd occasion to switch weapons, controlling it all through the hyperkin stick went well. 🕹️ If it isn't a good stick, dodging the helicopters and meteorites on the first level becomes a huge chore. Here is was almost easy. 😎
@rexthedogge The version of Mega Apocalypse for me was the C64 one.
Beautiful Hubbard soundtrack, speech synthesis, and some crazy-fast gameplay. 👍
@Lord_Arse There was the Amiga version of Elite too.
But development of that was contracted out .. I wasn't a fan of it's vibrant colour scheme. And the feel of the game was just a bit off somehow. It never really grabbed me the same way the C64 version did. 🤔
@monteboyd I think the first combat racer I ever played was WipeOut on the PS1. 🤔 I kinda have the feeling that the Psygnosis guys must have been Super Cars fans. 😁
Time for some Super Cars II on Amiga. I thought a top-down racer would be a good test of the new retro stick. 🕹️ It's a pretty good game for the Hyperkin stick as the rotational movement controls are quite twitchy. It feels like this game is the 2D origin of WipeOut franchise. 😁
