Despite its lower-resolution graphics, the C64 version of Magnetic Strolls "The Pawn" is still my preferred version. 🤔 I mean, a graphic adventure with graphics by Bob Stevenson? How could that not be great, right? 😁

@CommodoreBlog Yeah, sure, Syndicate is great if you're after cybernetic limbs and stuff .. but at the end of the day, isn't it just a thinking-man's Cannon Fodder? 😋

@electron_greg @0xC0DE6502 Yeah. I love the book. And it's freaking huge in the LP version, so you can see how well it's done. Also the visualisation of the red weed and the tripods themselves is really striking. I'd love to see a full movie that took this as its inspiration.

@gamesyouloved @jimblimey I used to have a Windows 98 screen saver that was a bunch of real .scr loading-pictures, and the screen saver would load them up, with realistic loading sounds and border flash. 🤔 It was glorious. 😁

@NickTheFire @newIapetus The Amiga version was alright too.
It certainly looks pretty .. but after going back and forth between that and the C64 version, the Amiga one feels just a little bit slow. 😐 (Lots of WHDLoad-install options to speed the whole thing up though.) 😁

@ste_mega In my early Amiga days, we all had a copy of Shadow of the Beast. 👍 It wasn't a game we ever loaded up to play. It was one to load up to show off to other people just what the Amiga was capable of. 😁 More of a tech demo than a game. 😋

@CrapC64Gamer Heartland is a beautiful looking game.
Never really knew what I was doing in it .. But I was having fun wandering around aimlessly. 😁
