Retrogaming of the 8 and 16 bit variety. That's my jam. 😎

I was just playing the original Leader-board a couple of days ago. I went straight to the pro skill level, because that was what I was used to, but it took me half the holes until I had the fire-button timing right again. ..I was just a little over par. 😁

..also: goddammit! Is that bird in *every* game!

Ha! I was playing Outlaws last night.
It was no fun at all. But I retained the will to live, so it was a pretty good session overall. 😁

I'm going to vote for Imhotep as worst C64 game .. just because I can't remember the title of the budget title we tried years and years ago that was absolute pants. 😋

I think the programmers had the same idea with Nemesis the Warlock. Run around and slash/shoot everything in sight. Perfect! 😎 (Bonus points to Nemesis for allowing the bodies to literally pile up.) 👍

Spyhunter! Freaking brilliant game. 👍
(Anyone else re-wire their stick so it could plug in to the second joystick port as well and operate the smoke/oil-slick with the secondary button?) 😁

I played it on a stock A1200 from floppy 💾, where enemy turns would take 20 min. 😮 I've played it on the A4000 with 40MHz 040, and it still crawled when exploring the 3rd floor of the big UFO's ..and then when it just randomly crashes when loading the battlescape. 😐 {/old-man}

But both the PC and Amiga version had a huge number of bugs. 😐 The only sensible way to play it these days is through OpenXCom, which uses the original game graphics, but gives you a higher resolution, mouse-wheel support etc. It can be modded with Amiga fonts and music too. 😎

I think the Amiga commercial market was dying, so the product got pushed out the door before it was ready. 😐 There were no animated graphics on the battlescape, nor night-time missions (though there were still flares), and it became *real* slow on big maps, even with an 040 CPU.

Cheers for the shout out. 👍
Ah, Karate Champ. I really did love that game. Was quite good at it too. (One of the few arcade games I could spend ages on on just one credit.) 😎
