@C64Reloaded @CFSpeedwagon Mastertronic were an excellent publisher. It was so easy to spend a couple of quid on one of their games. Sometimes it was a stinker, sure. But sometimes it was something really good. Some of their games got more play than my full-price acquisitions. 👍
@8bitadc @fizzychicken Quake was the first one to do full mouse-look, I believe. (As in, looking left/right and up/down.)
Doom, by default was cursor keys to look left/right and move, but it also allowed you to use the mouse for those too. Which was probably the start of realising its advantages.
@C64Reloaded Krakout is one that I really enjoyed.
It doesn't look as flash as Arkanoid or TRAZ. But everything is big enough, and the aiming is good enough that that annoying "last brick wait" is virtually gone. 👍 There are two mouse-enabled versions now too: 😎

@C64Reloaded Gremlin did a lot of cool games.
Even the ones that weren't amazing.. They were still good fun to play. 👍

@RetroBoyJon I didn't discover the "Strike" games until recently.
Nothing like a good helicopter game. 👍
I was a big fan of the Zeewolf series. 😎
@IL0VEthe80s I think it was only last year that I realised there was a Paperboy 2 too. (Released for home computers only, IIRC.) 🤓
@IL0VEthe80s Cool game.
I was never any good at it, but I enjoyed it all the same. 😁
