@TedMoondust @JazRignall That was actually what I was going to say.
But I'd already said it a day or two ago, so I didn't want to repeat myself. 😁 The trees and bunkers are kinda annoying obstacles. Whereas, any real miss putting you in the drink gives the game a real sense of jeopardy. It works better.
@RetroGifMonster Waiting for there to be a real president Ronnie..
[amiga conversion .. just because]
😎
@JazRignall World Class Leaderboard really did feel like the ultimate evolution of the series (16bit and arcade ports aside.) From a basic grass/water flat landscape these were now real golf courses in the wee C64.
Never played Strike. But we were to get 10th Frame later anyway. 😄
@StormyAdlerPoG @cyanideriver Flashback was stunningly good.
I'd agree about that second chapter. ..and the last time I played it, and cheated to the third chapter, it just became super hard and I eventually gave up.
But still .. I can't help but like it. 😄
@C64Reloaded I really loved all the Beyond stuff I tried.
There seemed to be a huge variety in the games, and some real thought into what you had to do. Some of them didn't really grab me in the end, but I enjoyed learning what they were all the same.
👍
@C64Reloaded Oh yeah. Imhotep was the last Ultimate game that I got without waiting to check a review first. It was just a steaming pile of dog-s**t, and I'd completely given up on it after a day or two. (Even with infinite lives, I've never progressed beyond the first, horrible, level.)
😐
@C64Reloaded That's about my assessment.
Well, Karnath was excellent fun at the time.
Entombed was great once I had the Zzap!64 maps. 😄
(I cheated to complete it .. disappointing ending.)
Blackwyche.. just didn't grab me at all. And the new Pendragon sprite was a bit naff.
Dragonskulle? Ugh.
