@CommodoreLad I had a friend who had a C128D and a C128.
I borrowed the D for a few weeks. Had lots of fun with it. But the space-bar was a little broke so, when he offered to let me buy one, I had to go for the C128, with a 1570 disk-drive. Which was equally fun. (Especially for Ultima V.) 😄
@njpixelgaming IMHO Master of Magic is one of Rob Hubbard's best tunes. It really adds to the game. The game is funny in that all the real gameplay takes place on a teeny map and text display. The graphics that pop up are just flavour. (But I love the big "dead" text on one's you've killed.) 😄
@OldSchoolBooks1 Underwurlde was, I think, the first mega-maze game I played. And it was Sabreman, who is just adorable. I played it a ton on my friends Speccy, played it more on my C64, and then played it even more after getting the Zzap!64 map. It was beautiful in its cruelty. Up 5, fall 10. 😮
@C64TimeLine Ah! I missed that tweet!
I'd know those match point guys anywhere.
Quite a cool tennis game, I thought. 🤔
@rbs_york @Lord_Arse This was how all the early 16-bit stuff was.
A shame really, because it does date them.
Elite, to me, works better with a stark desaturated look.
(Of course, I mostly played it on the C64, then got the Amiga version later, which looks identical to the ST.) 😎
