Retrogaming of the 8 and 16 bit variety. That's my jam. 😎

I have on Amiga Ultima's III, IV, V, and VI (The False Prophet — which was the one game I freely admit was *not* good on the C64.) So I think I'll play trough Ultima VI on the virtual Amiga. For the rest, I should visit them on DOS one of these days. Still. No rush though, eh? 😁

Yup. Last Ninja 1.
Beautiful game. One of the few I was able to complete, without the aid of maps/tips. 😁

That one's here..
(Sometimes it's done as a part of an EasyFlash release.. Can be good to hunt those out too.) 🤓

I believe it was yet another game where it had one title (XCom: UFO Defence) in US territories, and another title (UFO: Enemy Unknown) everywhere else. There are quite a few games where this happened. (The Settlers / Serf City, for example .. Barbarian / Death Sword, etc.)

The thing I never really liked about DOS was MIDI music. So when I have the option to replace it I always do. 😄

Incidentally, for the first XCom game, OpenXCom even has an option to use the PSX map layout for the Cydonia level, rather than the random layout the DOS version had.

Hmmmm.. Apparently "both versions suck" too. 😋
Gotta love forums.

I'm sure you'll be pleased to know: you can load the AGA, ECS, or Playstation music into OpenXCom too. 😉

In VICE64 .d81 images are a little fiddly, as you have to change the drive type from 1541 to 1581. So I usually go for EasyFlash cartridge images, as I can drop those onto the emulator and be going right away. But for things like Ultima V, that was eight disk-sides.. amazing. 😮

Ah, cool. 👍
I never had a 1581. But I love how many games these days have been hacked to work on a 1581 disk or EasyFlash cartridge. It makes a huge difference, even in the VICE/HOXS emulators to how they play, without all that disk swapping and waiting. 💾

What's the top-left game, with the red beret? I don't know that one.

Always loves me some Trap Door and/or Popeye. 👍

If I recall correctly they kinda had to rush the Amiga release. The Amiga market was starting to die, so it was probably get it out right away or not at all.

That said, it wasn't until I saw it on my friends PC I was like "wow. that's fast! and what is this night-time stuff?" 😮
