Retrogaming of the 8 and 16 bit variety. That's my jam. 😎

I just watched 15 min of playthrough of that thing, and I have to say: holy f--ing s--! That is seriously cool. I've never really seen much of the Sega console stuff.. Which suddenly makes me realise where Superfrog may well have got a few of its ideas. 🤔

Not to mention the other many cool retro games he's made. Monsters of Terror is still one of my favourites. A port of Wizard of Wor, with AGA graphics, and up to four human and/or CPU players. (And digitised C64 sound effects, for that extra retro feel.) 😎

And there's "Legend of the Exploding Fist" which no-one will be surprised to hear was a port/enhancement of "Way of the Exploding Fist." It's pretty good. And they added a crazy number of CPU opponents in some of the new game-modes, and blood options, just for fun. 👍

It works pretty well. There's no collision-detection between the two players, and they can't shoot each-other. So the two can roam the playfield however they want. 🤔 I kinda wish he'd made them different colours. But that's a minor quibble. 😄

It does.
Tricky to get the two player screenshots. (NZ is such a low population country, I found it difficult to find another human to join-in.) 😉 But my ambidextrous control of two sheriff's went quite well.

It even has a high-score table, which I don't think the C64 one had.

High Noon .. but on the Amiga. With two-player simultaneous play. Neat. 😄 (It's on Aminet.)

In the end, the first Dungeon Master like game I ended up seeing at a friends place was Hired Guns. (So, like Dungeon Master, but Sci-fi, and you can play up to four-player simultaneous.) 😮 Excellent game. But inventory management is a bit fiddly to deal with.

I like the Deluxe version of Carmen Sandiego.
They took the original, upped the graphics resolution, added voices, lots of new cartoony animations, and made the interface very tactile and clicky. 👍

I think that's one thing most people can agree on:
Shadow of the Beast was never a deep game.
It was the game you put on to show off what the Amiga could do. Amaze people for a minute, then reset, and boot Hybris/Lemmings/Virus/etc.
👍

Swings and roundabouts.
Sometimes we get Brataccas. Sometimes we get Benefactor.
{trying to sound wise before the caffeine has entirely worn off} 😉
