And once you start looking it’s amazing how many different bees you can find in the most unlikely places. I found an Ashy mining bee in Camberwell last week https://t.co/zg6VKRo9Te
The first asparagus are delicious they also look lovely under the hawthorn & wild cherry trees as the cherry blossom petals fall to the ground like confetti #Homegrown
I’ve always loved working on a #Linocut & I’m really looking forward to having enough time to start on a new multi block print soon.
Butterfly lifecycles are notoriously complex meaning they suffer greatly from habitat destruction. Thrashing the living daylights out of hedges doesn’t help. Neither does monoculture farming. But there are lots of people doing their bit with little bits of wilding all over wales
Down in the wet woodlands in amongst the willows & alders the marsh tits are looking their best right now

Lovely hellebores https://t.co/HzXiY8PPS0
#stormfranklyn just hit the side of my house like a hammer, can’t imagine getting an awful lot of sleep tonight as I felt the house shudder and it’s got walls a foot thick built of stone!!!!
So I added a bee because although it didn’t really need a bee to be a nice painting of a hellebore I do love the connection between the two & the bumblebees really appreciate the flowers which seem to go on for ages https://t.co/6dLy8P7lzP
