Paletteful Pack prompt, Science Fiction.
I just realized I should have done Stanley The Space Mouse and Bruce The Space Hopper! Duhhhhh!
Last night, I finally got around to playing with my August Sketchbox supplies, some liquid graphite, green gouache, and fine liners. The green and grey made me think of the little hedgehogs who would visit while I played croquet with my mom in the garden in England.
Edith and I completed the final prompt for November’s Paletteful Pack tonight (before December!) The prompt was “trending.” I’m kind of a nerd so I don’t really follow trends. But, it was hard to not notice all of the immersive Van Gogh exhibits that have popped up everywhere.
Eye! Eye! Cap'n! A little demo I did for my Art 10s as they embark on an expressive watercolour portrait.
The Art10s are making chalk pastel poppies to be displayed the week of National Aboriginal Veterans Day and Remembrance Day. Here is mine.
Heads up’s: here’s a quick exemplar I made for a drawing challenge I’m going to do this week with the salon heads I got from the Cos room — with the psychedelic background, I should have called it “Head Trip.”
WIP A painting activity we’ve been doing in Art Club. Can you guess where it is?
Somebody once made a comment to me about how doing self portraits made me a narcissist. But, the only other people I ever see long enough to paint are teenagers and painting them outside of class would just be creepy.
Finishing off my August Paletteful Pack with the prompt, DINNER. But, everyone knows the best part of dinner is DESSERT!
Sometimes, it’s fun to challenge myself to gather information quickly and do some live animal sketching.
