One of the August #palettefulprompts was #pirate. When my dad worked for the British Merchant Navy, he was actually held at gun point by a real pirate who was nothing like the ones you see on tv. I thought it would be cute to have a pirate on a parrot’s shoulder.
Tonight I did my first ever paint night. It was taught by my very good old friend from high school. He sure praised my abilities in front of everyone else. It was a fun way to end a stressful first week back at school. #yycdoodlebugs #yycart #calgaryarts #paintnight #aoma
No, you’re not seeing double. My husband liked my sketch of Melvin he wanted me to rip it out of my sketchbook and pop it in a frame. I don’t like taking pages out of my sketchbooks as I work on both sides and they’re like a visual memoir of my process. So, I did another one.
