Quick demo I did in response to a question about workflow. R==>L Basically I start with a big hard multiply brush at low opacity to get massing w/ the eraser to clean up edges and highlights. I'll paint over this in a more conventional way in a wider tonal range
The base of the shroud on the MG34 is officially 'complicated' though I think I'm out of the woods. Ideally I would model this all with Boolean operations but I ended up doing a combo of that and box modeling. Cleanup shouldn't be terrible

I like the crazy stupid side loading magazine and the option to single load something oversize but that upper needs to be completely rethought. Too abstracted a shape and it looks like it's made of cheese. I have some ideas
