Vorotishin Krest - a 12-century #monolith in #Belarus ⬜️🟥⬜️, not far from Minks. It bears the same symbol you see on the anti-Lukashenka flag of independent Belarus: the 6-ended cross of St. Euphrosyne (the symbol of the country).

Here's a good article about Terese Nielsen, and why she won't be working for Wizards anymore. I like her art, for its geometric mathyness, but what can we do, people change, and not always for the best.

Or this Christ with a sword (left) that is technically a copy from a 14C fresco in Visoki Dečani monastery, Serbia, but that is decidedly not a common iconography in the Orthodox world

Elena and Olivia Ceballos!
So genuine, wholesome, and.. healing :) https://t.co/JNB7HfBAXt
Finally, an interesting tidbit. While Solomko (and generally this style of art) was obviously anathema to Soviets, the MOST POPULAR by far set of playing #cards in Russia (from 1911 until now!) is directly based on his designs!(known at the "Russian Set"). (fin)
@FelixColgrave And four more, all from Russia:
Isheevka (ammonite)
Adychinski nasleg
(Soergelia, an extinct sheep-like animal)
Chebulinsk (Psittacosaurus)
Kotlass (fake synthetic yellow dinosaur)
@YseultCeirw @atomicthumbs You can argue that when galaxies and what not are false-colored, there could have been a creature (or maybe even - there is a creature) that would have perceived it like that. You know? Not that different than painting leaves blue and ochre.
@bradenlamb @aboutrunning @inCatastrophe @d_overlord @MrReciprocity @siennaacre @jedediahberry Hey, I had to stop somewhere :) I actually gave up half-way, and it took me 2 years (and a pandemic) to come back to it and finish it :)
The original plan was to do the entire Sawkill watershed, but it's HUGE!
