Doodle of the Day: Shore of Tago Bay, Ejiri at Tokaido (1832), Japanese woodblock on paper, Katsushika Hokusai (1760 - 1849). This is from a series of prints called Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji. Hokusai was a master of delicate line work and colour.

Doodle of the Day: Le Taureau, (1946), Lithograph on Arches paper, Pablo Picasso (1881 - 1973). This print was the last in a series that Picasso produced showing how he kept simplifying a drawing of a bull. The series is a lesson on the process of simplification of ideas.

Doodle of the Day: Girl Wearing a Veil (1785), Black chalk with white highlights on paper, Élisabeth Vigée Le Brun (1755 – 1842). Le Brun is an important painter of the Rococo/Neoclassic movement. This drawing has a loose mark-making style to give a sense of life to the work.
