A new artist has moved into our studio at the Newbridge Memo yesterday. Henry Williams is an extremely talented fine artist who specialises in producing oil paintings. His main subject is the changing landscape and exploring light and form although he can work in any genre.

Art Matters (4/6): Some of the art shows the fragility of life and the struggle to survive in adverse conditions. There are profoundly moving drawings by artists such as Eric Taylor who was at Bergen-Belsen Concentration Camp to record the suffering of the survivors.

Scribble your Back Garden. (1/1): On pur Facebook page we are running a drawing challenge which I feel is needed especially in this time of unease. All you need is 5-minutes and your back garden! You can even draw from your window if you don’t want to leave your house.

Today we ran a shibori workshop in Hpbbycraft, Newport. Shibori is a Japanese resist dyeing technique, which produces patterns on fabric.

Yesterday we ran the ‘Make it for Mum’ workshop and we had som talented students (and their mothers) who produced some adorable bears for Mother’s Day. Thank you to all the people that took part!
