Yay I have a new pc. I can draw, and it's faster, so it feels better than on my laptop :). (I need to buy a standalone monitor though)

A leg. I'm trying to observe some other paintings and simplify the shapes like they do. It's quite difficult

I am using my Samsung tablet for this... it's taking way longer but I think I'm getting there. Just the hair left really and then I can start rendering. Tomorrow I think I will buy a new PC... not a spend I really want to do, but I really do want to draw with my graphics tablet

Ta da. I have exams at the moment, so I'm not going to spend too much more time on this. I think it came out sort of well, but I think I need to do more study of colour! Rendering is quite fun!

It's done! Pretty pleased with how it came out in general. The real photo is more saturated. Although I do like desaturating things, I think I possibly overdo it... so I should try and correct that tendency of mine.

This is now as done as it ever will be! Very useful practice. I didn't capture a likeness at all, but I still looks like a believable person which is the main thing I was going for! :)

I'm beginning to have fun with this now. I have been looking at the pieces by Boucher and noted that he used a lot of blue, so I thought I would go with a blue undertone to start with my colours. It's quite interesting how much it influences the colours of the face!
