Beautiful illumination of Crucifixion of Christ from the so-called Chotěšov Missal National Library CZ XIV C 3 (ca. mid-14th century, Bohemia). According to art history literature, canon painter was also an excellent painter of panel paintings, acquainted with Venetian painting.

Psalter of Johanka Trčková of Lípa (National Library CZ XVII J 5)
We introduce the charming psalter XVII J 5. It was written cca 1511 and belonged to the Czech noblewoman Johanka Trčková of Lípa. It is a beautiful example of a Czech private prayer book with impressive decoration

Woodcuts in the Czech prayer book XVII J 4 from 1510. Its owner pasted woodcuts (sitting saints and colored woodcut of Mary with Jesus in the gloriole). The second woodcut is of Czech origin, around 1490. Other fragments were pasted directly into the manuscript.
