The @oatweet excavations in Hull shown on #DiggingforBritain last night showed some really delightful finds. This odd couple - a ‘pipe tamper’ and ‘trinket’ caught my eye. But hopefully doesn’t gain me a twitter ban! #D4Bdrawing #Archaeology @RareTelevision @theAliceRoberts
Attempt at a male burial (6th Century) in the style of Victor Ambrus. The remains were found at Barrow Clump on #salisburyplain in 2018. Shield boss oddly absent. The details will be published in the Wiltshire Archaeological and Natural History Society Magazine. #archaeology
