Oleander hawk-moth, Army green moth, Daphnis nerii. One of the most magnificent hawk-moths and a very rare guest in Germany, only a few individuals are sighted every year. In summer, however, it sometimes makes it all the way to Scandinavia.

If I get a perfectly preserved specimen, I try to take as many photos as possible. Rarely are all the photos the way I imagine them. But sometimes everything fits:

The green weevil gets its color from tiny scales that are reminiscent of the "plumage" of a butterfly. Here you can see a spot where the compound eye can be seen clearly.

Cuckoo wasp. Again and again, the appeal to take a closer look at our native insects in Central Europe. There is a lot to discover and wonderful beauties to be explore, which delight not only with their looks but also with their behavior.
Bugs, Heteroptera. With about 40,000 species, a large suborder with wonderful diversity.
