Needed some kind of new enemy concept. Was getting sick of the goblin stuff.
I think it'll look interesting animated, with the flowing "smoke" and the glowing eye.
Sorry if it's not very interesting, it's my first time doing #conceptart!

The main character's sprites were rendered in Blender 3D, and then touched up in GIMP!
(placeholder sprites: enemies and chests)
(Can you find the secret loot at the top of the mountain?)
Will probably be my last update for a while.
I guess that every good adventurer needs a nice backpack AND wobbly hair!
Almost ready to shove into a game engine! Can't wait!

@FuzzForce Thank you! If it's any good, it's because I used Indivisible's run cycle animations as reference. Those are fantastic!
Yes, exactly. It's a 3D model with a simple shader to ramp the colors, and then rendered at a really low res. without antialiasing.
Doing some experiments...Touching up the render in Gimp, to better understand what to aim at.
Definitely have to work on the head's shape a bit. The scarf could probably use a bit of normal editing... Guess I'll put it on my list of things to learn!

My third attempt at modeling a character in Blender!
(First time using actual references.)
Having a hard time modeling proper hair styles though.
