Curt Swan — who was *the* Superman artist of my youth — was born on this date in 1920. Which gives me an excuse to share this sketch he was kind enough to interrupt his eating of rubber chicken at the 1973 National Cartoonist Society Reuben Awards banquet to draw for me.
