I think #SciArtTweetStorm is still going? Here is the illustration I did for an upcoming @InstBirdPop
project, featuring species from the Klamath National Forest! California Sister, Spotted Towhee, and Yellow-faced Bumble Bee. #SciArt

Swamp Sparrow - a quick little sketch for /u/Yardwatcher over on reddit. #birdtwitter

It's #WorldWildlifeDay! Take care of the creatures around you - big or small, rare or common.

I've posted a lot of birds recently so for #WorldWildlifeDay2021 here are some other animals I've illustrated!

Yes I do have more for #FlockOfArtists! Hopefully these help tide you over while I wait to be able to show off the projects I've been working on over the past few months.

Sketches vs painting! This is typical of my work - a concept sketch to help nail down color palettes, a working sketch reflecting composition/pose changes if needed, then the final from there.

Also I just rediscovered this doodle of a Microraptor meeting a Brewer's Blackbird. Long lost twins.

My art at 17 vs now. Both of these are pretty fantastical but boy, 18 years of digital art practice goes somewhere doesn't it.

And here's a few more, just for variety!

Greetings, #PortfolioDay! I'm a biologist and scientific illustrator with a focus on #SciArt and a side of fanart and fantasy illustration. Check out my portfolio! https://t.co/yAPhL9UJNJ
