For real I have big concerns on the reconstruction of proximal leg segments, but I tend to follow the interpretation of the original description and the 4th leg pair, which seems to have furrows resembling segmental boundaries.

Cistercian houses had a set Plan Dundrennan Abbey (Dumfries & Galloway) HS info board Newbattle (Dalkeith) watercolour 1991 and Alan Sorrell's great reconstruction of Melrose. For some reason Melrose was a backwards Plan. Even Byland in England followed the usual site Plan.

Por-Bajin & its buildings were of Tang-Chinese fashion. The layout is typical of a walled palace or Buddhist temple in China. Left is the reconstruction of Por-Bajin; right are that of a Tang palace in Luoyang & painting of a monastery. All feature a grand hall in the center.

The hippo is doing the rounds again. There are CAVEATS to this idea that are usually missed. The monstrous reconstructions are meant to apply to HYPOTHETICAL cases where those doing the reconstruction are unaware of soft tissue data and ignorant of mammal anatomy.
