On the overworld map, you'll notice that trap tower has three levels to it. With the "elevator" in Rev A and this new mention of three towers, I wonder if there is some sort of connection...

Day 2: lines

I used data from and to visualise global railways. I think the data comes from OpenStreetMap, the American Digital Cartography and Global Discovery.

Happy Halloween (from Australia)! To celebrate, today's featured map is my favorite spooky, grim-dark battle map. Have you run this map, or do any encounter ideas pop out? :)

Overall I absolutely got the mood I wanted to get across across via the gradient map, but some colour deliniations aren't nearly as clear once the, uh... colour is added/removed, heh.

Also I committed the cardinal artist sin of shading with pure black. Yes, it hurts me too, lmao

This is, the kind of faux-high-res that the Project 64 emulator gives you. 😁 Sometimes is makes it kinda obvious what's a bitmap, and what is 3d polygons, taking away a little of the magic. But it makes sniper shots so much easier when you can see far-off detail. 🙂

(8/?) Here's an example of the same gradient map, set to the linear light blending mode, and opacity at 20%. This is laid on top of the original coloured image. (Original Image attached as reference)

For Eevee, you can use the AO as a map inside the compositor by setting the factor to zero and checking AO under passes. With the AO as a map, you can manipulate the render result in different ways like hue shifting and cel shading.

Gonna go with a Jayfeather wolf walker map, i just dunno if i want to make it an AU where he is a warrior or a dream sequence where he goes on all the journeys like in “Man on the Moon”

Be aware Zelda BOTW 2 is gonna be absolutely MASSIVE:

Zelda Majora's Mask reused OOT assets, required only 1 year of development, released 2 years after OOT.

Zelda BOTW2 will reuse the map, engine, assets..and almost 4 years after BOTW1 we're not close to release..just IMAGINE!

RRR GBA has an unused Mode7 race track map, in a different format from the final ones. Interestingly it contains sprites for Rayman in a shoe, rather than in different vehicles like the final versions.

For I want to share the R package {cartography} for creating ~beautiful~ thematic maps. I love the way these maps turn out and actually prefer them to ggplot2, sf, tmap, and mapview outputs. Check it out here: https://t.co/gmWjIhrkYh
