Going through some old 3D files and found this gangster skully guy I made around the time I was graduating college.

Surprised how well this model and texturing holds up. I even rigged him! A thing that'd probably kill me if I tried to do again today

remembering when I tried (and gave up on) turning my kid kid into an actual model because my texturing skills are nonexistent (and the hair...), maybe could go back to it if the game ever releases on Steam at an extremely reduced price

Been spending the day on the project part from Switching to Blender! We'll go through how to make an axe start to finish: Modeling, UVs, sculpting, texturing & shading, lighting and rendering.

Next up, Ill add runes to the blade of the axe and improve the metal shader

Was talking to an artist friend about this last night, so I thought I'd share here. My fur texturing/value process through an image. There are actually eight layers broken down here into four, but it should give you a good idea of the process.

I'm loving his skin textures cause he has scales that reflect light as you move the camera, which is more complex texturing than I've ever seen on a BJ model.
In fact I don't think I've ever seen a BJ model that had scales before.
