Going off a tangent here, there was a time where I used to put external gills on early tetrapodomorphs, now that I learned that the otic notches on their skull was possibly a structure to facilitate spiracles, now I'm not as convinced to put external gills anymore https://t.co/vozdFZWCWL

the fact that this therocephalian (euchambersia) could be the oldest known venomous tetrapod is fucked up from a modern day perspective, where when you hear venomous you think snakes, not a MAMMAL RELATIVE

with fishsonas going around perhaps these would be helpful... i find it's good to remember which fish bits became tetrapod bits when anthropomorphizing - homologous structures are really useful

Acanthostega

A 60 cm tetrapod, its known for developing the first appendages recognizable as limbs, although it doesnt seem these could have been used to move on land

ALT: it also developed what is known as "terrestrial feeding" by biting land animals near the edge of the water

Creature designers or their directors!
If you do a more than 4 legged creature, don't fall into the "it's just a tetrapod with extra limbs in its armpit/waist" trope. It makes the limb arrangement look and feel biomechanically uncomfortable.
We have arthropods as reference.
