I just discovered the #pico8 export tilemap function.
(I'm a bit late to the party...)
This afternoon's muck about is in RPG Maker, we're so lucky to have programs like this available.
These sprite sheets would have taken me days to complete but using RPG Maker, it took about 10 mins.
I can import my own sprites/textures & tilemaps too.
Great way to mock up a game.
@retromatn @FishTaod That's what I considered bc I was so fed up with trying to get the tilemap to work the way I wanted. You just have to cut up the image to handle sorting things like the rock spires. It even feels faster than creating tilesets, since I have gone through about 20 tile iterations.
Tile map ready to go! Demo for the game will be ready later this year! Stay tuned for more updates and art from the game! #pixelart #tilemap #indiegame

So I'm in the very, very beginning steps of learning #Blender, though I am still focusing on #generative art. I'm using a Truchet tilemap generated with #Processing and applying it as a displacement map, creating this cityscape.
