Couple other random bits and bobs, the water spout thing is just a bunch of voronoi textures, everyone does these the same way lol
I added some noise to the shadows in the floor shader so they're a bit softer looking under the water

Planet: almost everything procedural, used sverchok for the voronoi breaks, geo nodes to displace, solidify modifier and then some earth textures in the shader to save time

- disc has a radial voronoi texture,
- which is masked with the inner sphere intersection
- and then added to the rest
- final layer is a basic glowy halo from fresnel

As for the dust it's just a basic dissolve with a procedural oronoi + static noise. The noise moves with the particles, the voronoi is in world space.
The dissolve is also biased when the camera is near, as a neat way to integrate depth fade without ruining the effect.

day 10, Machine learning, wrong answers.
I work on ML, so when I first saw voronoi art I implemented it in JS as kNN with k=1. It works but is super slow compared to normal voronoi stuff. With k>1, the results are really cool though.

The lovely made this for me.
I am so freaking impressed!!

got a practice run in on daily blender sculpting

about 3 hours in blender, metaballs then sculpting then a blundering attempt at texturing with mostly voronoi noise... did not turn out so good but oh well I will improve

On June 12, 1920, Russian born French surgeon Serge Voronoff (1866-1951), aka “the monkey gland man”, first transplanted thin slices of testicles from chimpanzees and baboons into a human scrotum. His rejuvenation technique was very popular before being debunked by 1935.

In the euphemisms of 1921 journalism, the testicles are "glands" and the purpose of the operation is to "rejuvenate" the patient. Serge Voronoff pioneered the procedure in France in 1919, claiming the implants would restore both sexual function and mental vitality in men. 2/3
