Appreciate life even if it's not perfect.

Happiness is not fullment of what we wish for.
But a appreciation of what we have.

Your wristwatch ticked as a deluge of hydrangeas bloomed in our hearts—a quintessential restoration after years of walking through rusted gardens settled beneath strangers' heavy shoes. 2

When it was time for capricious skies to welcome our constellations, we'd stand at the littoral to watch the sea become Sun's womb again, our eyes ready to be ensnared by the stars' content twinkling on small ripples. 1

littoral dragons
playing fast as her
pearl oyster can spin
seaweed tendrils dance
verdant ribbons of
magical sea rhythm
capricious mermaids

conch marmalade and
water their cactus to
to see it wither away

"Meet my highly intelligent bird. She loves reading and helps highlight all unnecessary longueurs in these awful submissions. Such finesse in that wing-work. Forgo the blue ones."
"Those are mine."
"Oh. Dreadful."

"I had an insatiable appetite for rolling in mud when I was your age. Grandpop's farm had plenty of it," Mama said, her eyes lighting up the room. "The secret to happiness is being you—& avoiding man-made insects."

Missing you.
Heightened
Wafts through
My entire being
Shaking me with
Such intense feeling
I tremble like
A newly-opened spring leaf.
I can't conceal
My grief.
Building a
For you
In my soul.
Knowing without you
I will never
Again feel whole.

I welcomed the premature spring, its showers refreshing as the rare snowy breeze amid scorching summer afternoons. It greeted us late this year. Even the evergreens we'd gifted flowers every April 1st seem sad.

There's a charm in falling petals that meet the breezes they twine with. I liked to sit on the bench across the road from church to watch days pluck flowers from their tree—a favourite catalyst for peace in a weary mind.

Ode to Keats

He was a great English poet in his time, John Keats, an of beauty and romance in full measure—coining the phrase, ”A thing of beauty is a joy forever.” May his beautiful poems live forever.☺️✍️🏽#Bravewrite

Mise-en-scène. At the juncture of our knees where shifting welcomed whispering winds who betrayed our secrets by meeting each other's listening eyes. It's the last place I remember what untrapped feels like.

"We are inkblots daubed round the world. No matter how far one's view zooms on another, only our shells may entice strangers. The rest is efficacious upon meeting one's charm."
"You must be fun at parties."

All awake I was
in my dream
where you've
expressed
the pain
you're in
Have taken you
in arms tight
kissed the tears
rolling down on
your face to
cleanse
The darkness you're
hiding from ages
lost my heart
there to see
you win

Ice flooded my skin when I saw legs kicking from an industrial box, muffled screams plaguing my ears as memories of yesteryear's attack thickened the air. I'd fallen stuck in front of movers, too.

Your supposedly special someones stay for a stage. Smiles change w/ the leaves & warm hands slip from reach. You wonder how you could've stoked missing sunrises & light abiding moons—but you were also a season.

Your love is abundant, subconsciously soft and willing yet outwardly bold at times. Thank you for accepting my smiles as adequate gratitude; and deepest sorries for being unable to paint more memories.

In the welkin
we walk
on the in between,
waking moon
and tucking sun
somewhere
beneath
our tootling feet.
A Sunday time falter
to help define
pulsing souls
who desire
no sound,
letting winds
brush
dancing breath
round.

"I thought it was ferly fungi like those mushrooms resembling the dead's fingers," Abby says, staring at the wailing hordes on shaking knees.
"Somebody charmed the cemeteries again. Wonder who." 347
