Quick hand study from photograph to practice painting subsurface scattering 🥰

I love this image, some moons of our Solar System that are geologically active: Jupiter’s moons Io and Europa, and Saturn’s moons Enceladus and Titan, with features ranging from volcanoes and water plumes to possible subsurface oceans 🌕🌑🌋♨️🌊🌫️

This is actually a *super* high poly object. It's meant to be used to bake normals onto a low poly object. It's done by using the Subsurf Modifier and then adding a bunch of loops around the edges to make them "sharp". This single piece alone has nearly 40,000 tris itself.

Doing from . Here is my first, hand study. Trying to understand how light interacts with skin and subsurface scattering. About 1.5 hours

A quick Gabriel from Quarantine Circular! Played through this and Subsurface Circular on the weekend (they're super short) and loved them both BUT where are my romance options for this sensitive large lad, I mean really.

Tried the subsurf modifier and im happy to report my topology is in fact the hottest shit

Ported the fake subsurface scattering from to It requieres baking a thickness texture, but might be useful in some scenario

Fun characters by Aleksey Baydakov, I love how expressive their bodies are even when in a regular standing pose, also the way the manually paints skin translucency is worthy of some of the best 3D subsurface magic out there! https://t.co/bv9nYyzBdu

When accidentally apply subsurf modifier to your mesh before export.. It bet that was how Gaudí did all his organic designs

In this tutorial, you'll learn a really great workflow for making non-destructive assets. These assets will be 100% editable, you will be able to make different versions, Low poly, High poly, Subsurf mesh or Remesh. https://t.co/PmyDHYaIri

I'm also rather proud of the arm/hand. Attempted to do a soft subsurface scattering glowing-red effect near the skin edges, but it's hard to do without making her seem all... red.

i guess while you're here i have an updated version with fixed lighting, less fuzz and clipping, and i managed to subsurf Pikachu

お昼休憩なう。3Dスキャンからリトポロジーのやりかたがよくわからない。いったんsubsurfとshrinkwrapモディファイアをかけて、全体をおおってみよう。#b3d
