A particularly elaborate ring from the mid 16thc - the book-shaped bezel is embedded with a sapphire, ruby, emerald and diamond. Snakes, toads and skulls decorate the rest of it to give you that classic 'you are nothing but glamorous worm-food' memento mori feel.
