This is a procedurally-stepped terrain. Not exactly how I wanted it but still looks pretty cool, I think. Especially with the volumetrics and lighting in the 'forest'.

What you see in the video is point cloud in a 3D environment with some FX. We had a version with textures but it pushed the PC to its limit! We also made a volumetric art documentary project using Kinect with cine film textures, that was a challenge! Both projects were pure R&D.
