The magic word is "Djinn Lamp Spirit from 1001 Nights"

For this one I let the deformations be more wild, you can barely notice its original SMPL human form in the creature that emerged from a bottle...

I like the Arabic characters in the texture...

It's only 172 Tris! I'm pretty happy with how clean it looks.

There's an alpha to help with the edges, but I tried to model it so it looks good even with a non-transparent texture.

for reference, this is the original shalamayne with the glow prebaked into the texture. notice how it's based off the old model, but the prebaked glow essentially removed... seems like perhaps the "light" inside may no longer respond to Anduin...?

not sure if anyone pointed this out yet but there's 2 models for shalla'tor / ellemayne except they both have the red gem and they both are mapped to the same texture. I could just be missing a texture though. also curious is the prebaked glow isn't present...

Day 3 of sculpting practice, I made another human face with a reference, this time it's a man, I've also made a skin material (not final) and some quick eyebrows using a texture. Surprisingly lips are the easiest to sculpt

Spotted something else in the trailer. Looks like the big red block ship is an homage to a piece by Peter Elson! Especially the hull texture.
