Decided to pick this up as soon as I read was writing a story in it. Was then pleasantly surprised when I saw that Sal Buscema was providing the inks on it. To then discover that Tom DeFalco & Ron Frenz had a new Thunderstrike story in here as well? Bonus! (K)

Agreed, there is no way you could produce Frazetta level work on a monthly comic(just pencilling a monthly comic is nearly a lost skill) but when I look at Buscema I get the odd feeling that he never even read the books..1/2

(5) Whose Robert E. Howard adaptation do you prefer?

“Iron Shadows in the Moon” (“Shadows in the Moonlight”)- Marvel’s Roy Thomas and John Buscema’s OR Dark Horse’s Timothy Truman and Tomás Giorello’s?

I've been re-reading the 1970s Defenders run by Steve Gerber, Sal Buscema & Klaus Janson, inspired by Hub & Cory at . Brilliant stuff. I've just got to Steve & Sal's last issue. This panel is wonderfully weird; worthy of Ditko!

I love novel covers, so I started making my own. Here are three covers to nonexistent books featuring the pre-WW2 exploits of a British secret service agent named Miranda Barton.

(The city in the third cover is swiped from the work of the great Sal Buscema.)
