Happy #FossilFriday! Here’s Benjamin Waterhouse Hawkins’ ‘Cretaceous Life of New Jersey’ (1877). #Dinosaurs #NewJersey

In James E Allen’s ‘Corythosaurus’ (1938), two dinosaurs are depicted next to a lake. The image is from a group of six lithographs of prehistoric monsters commissioned by Sinclair Refining Company. #FossilFriday #Dinosaurs #Fossils
I don’t share many early-stage WIPs but here’s one for #FossilFriday. The pencil sketch and about 2hrs of painting. A loooooong way still to go!
#FossilFriday Paraceratherium bugtiense is type species of genus Paraceratherium. The fossils were found in the Chitarwata Formation of Pakistan(Oligocene). Not like its gigantic cousin,Pa. bugtiense is smaller. But it was still the largest mammals in Pakistan at that time.
The #hominin skeleton from Saint-Césaire, France is one of the last known Neandertals and lived some 42,000-40,000 years ago. The individual suffered but survived, at least for several weeks, a sharp force injury to the head. #paleoanthropology #FossilFriday
Finally had some time to finish this piece I teased a while back. A pair of Daphoenodon superbus checking in on their very confused lil pups.

Two Anhanguera are having a bit of a territorial dispute, or one of them just had a bad day, who knows?
Been some time since I last drew pterosaurs, had to fix this pterrible mistake!

For #FossilFriday, here's an open access article on cranial anatomy of Saurornitholestes langstoni from Dinosaur Park Formation by Phillip Currie and David C. Evans:

A sunbathing synapsid for #FossilFriday
This interpretation is deliberately overly-reptilian. It’s taken from my Project:Tepui Kickstarter, whose creatures are inspired as much by old monster-movies as by the fossil record. (1/2)
When you are DONE at last with...half a diptych 😌🥴🤭 #fossilfriday #paleoart #charcoal
Dinosaur commission for #FossilFriday ! I miss drawing more Mesozoic animals.
Here's Yutyrannus, the chilly tyrant!

The archaeological record of Flores shows that Homo floresiensis must have been a highly competent stone tool maker and user. The tools left by this #hominin show that large brains and humanlike wrists are not essential to technology #paleoanthropology #FossilFriday
Adding more details to my Corythosaurus skull model. Also fixing up the palatal area so that it articulates with the braincase. Still need to fix up details in other areas to make it really accurate tho. #FossilFriday
My brain is away with early Jurassic marine reptiles this #FossilFriday, so here's the #paleoart mural I did of Rhomaleosaurus and friends for @SMTrust in 2018. We put this together pretty quickly - I wanted more fish and invertebrates but time wasn't on our side.
#FossilFriday The Zeeland Ridge Neanderthal was discovered in sediments extracted from the bottom of the North Sea. This is the first Pleistocene fossil hominin found under seawater. The partial frontal bone shows a lesion caused by an epidermoid cyst.
