I have also completed the Phalanx BuruBuru- it trades its axe for a big freaking shield. Improved survivability over the standard SAN-X9, and it can use the shield for a charge/bash attack.

Examining the test prints of the SAN-X9 BuruBuru model. The details are much crisper than the original version, and the parts fit together perfectly. I have a second set of test prints running tonight with some new components.
