Roman's definitely a big dog/werewolf. absolutely feral when he's angry, values the Pack/Family , strong loyalties to friends. Also lacks tendencies to eat small children.

This shader study of AMPA receptor (July's Molecule of the Month at RCSB PDB ) has each amino acid residue colored based on hydrophobicity. Light values favor interactions with water, dark values avoid them.

I've started to incorporate oil paints into the Black Thumb sketches to get a little more control, and a greater range of values. Though I need to experiment with different whites, as titanium is a bit too cool.
