I don't TEND to ink smoke/steam/clouds. The brush I use in Clip Studio is "India Ink > Light running ink", I just do overlapping swirlies and the Blend tool when I want it to fade out cleanly. It gets some real nice texture and transparency IMO.

When they do, I try very hard to open up to whomever is asking and illustrate whatever it is they are hinting at.

Day 11: More parallel lines in this one. I think it looks a little weird, compared to the rosette proportions in Islamic designs these look strangely elongated. I do like the overlapping 3 pointed stars though. Something for another day.
