Chains of FATE

This piece was inspired by a 12th century sculpture in an ancient Hindu temple. It depicts a Deity brutally defeating a soldier, disemboweling him with her eight hands
His intestines are represented by chains to signify the unrelenting grip FATE has on the mortal

Once I had the guy sculpted I was very intimidated about painting him up... In those cases I do a paint test by taking a photo, grayscale it, and then color over it to test color schemes. This was a really fun project to work on and is a badass center piece.
