I thought Memento Mori included books & skulls to indicate the education/wealth of the person/family. It is now clear that they serve as a warning to all - penalty is death & yer skull on my desk. I suppose that’s why so many novels have deaths in libraries?

i discovered we have a Knoll catalog from the 60s in our collection (possibly the catalog we ordered our furniture from, which is fun!) and i called it up to look at for fun and discovered it had a whole section of furniture for libraries. which is kinda blowing my mind??
