Here's one of the enemies you'll face in Cryptid Kitchen! It's a Nachtkrapp, a giant raven from South German and Austrian folklore. Looking at certain parts of its body, such as the holes in its wings, can bring disease and death. It also steals children and carries them away!
For those that remember tall tales ;-) Today is Paul Bunyan Day which honors one of the best known lumberjacks (and his faithful companion Babe the Blue Ox) in American Folklore.

#June is popular in folklore. Some say that if you see bats flying on a June evening, it's a sign hot weather's on its way. Also, if swallows fly near to the ground, it means rain is due, + 'a swarm of bees in June is worth a silver spoon'

Baba Yaga is one of my favourite characters in fairy tale and folklore. I've made several illustrations around her, but would love to work on a whole book one day. Listening to @baileymeyers talk about her on @CryptKeepPod has got me thinking of ideas all over again.

It's #FolkloreThursday and we wanted to talk about #Selkies. They're found in Scottish and Irish folklore. Selkies are generally known as seals that remove their skin and become humans, although there are many myths surrounding them. #WritingCommunity #Writing
The Dullahan is a mythological creature in Irish folklore. A headless horseman archetype, the Dullahan is said to have a hideous grin on its decapitated head, and uses a spine as a whip to spur along their steed. Wherever the Dullahan's cart, stops, it is said death follows.
