It was prity funny at the time. Because he allways has these romantic portraits that at times only bared a passing resemblance to the man in the novel.

Even in the comics it was fairly minimal to the point where you weren't sure it was there at times.

Side note, I love the look of it too. It’s a shame that Toyotaro doesn’t draw Gohan with the bang, but he keeps the aura and sharper facial features at least.

It’s a more minimalist look than the numerous other transformations/techniques which is why I love it
