Argonauts nº 16:

The Argonauts approached the island of Ares(Aretias). Phineus warned Jason that man-eating birds with beaks made of bronze settled on the island after Hercules chased them. The crew banged their spears on their shields and the Stymphalian birds were driven away.

Ok seriously tho, where's the love for Dinocephalians? These things were bloody insane yet it seems nobody really cares much about them? I mean of course this applies to a lot of Permian stuff, but you still get the occasional gorgonopsid and obligatory Dimetrodon every blue moon https://t.co/CxW4EHMIUa

I just realized I have a almost always depicted dinocephalian therapsids in combat or attacking some other animal! 🤔 That is not that usual for me

You have traveled back in time to Late Permian South Africa and all of the sudden you run into this pair of Moschops capensis head butting! What a sight that must have been! Moschops was a dinocephalian therapsid, this a very distant relative of ours

The Bosses for the 2nd mystery of the MOTW game I run!

The Monster was a (veeery loose) take on a stymphalian bird, if it was also like, a motorcycle that was on fire.

It had handlers- a local handyman and a demon named Buer who could make chakrams out of fire.
